silversun pickups_little lovers so polite - i am sure we all know that is a guy singing.  the video will be out soon, which is directed by the number one johnny cash impersonator joaquin phoenix.
apocalyptica_i’m not jesus - i could have told corey taylor that as he is featured on this track by cello covering rockers.
switches_drama queen - this band is great.  the opened up for the bravery at club sound a couple weeks ago.  they were even nice enough to share their budwieser with me.  and you know the brits love that imported american beer so i thought them not only nice guys but they rocked the plywood walls like old pros.  here is the video:

gnarls barkley_run - and you should from this song.  i appreciate what they do but this sounds more like a tv show theme from the seventies.  let’s hope the album has more promise than this watered-down version of what they did on their last album.  gnarls barkely are no go! team.
louis xiv_stalker - goes without saying this is a creepy ass song but that is louis xiv.  sex, sex and rock n’ roll.  even and two person string section.  i caught them opening up for hot hot heat and editor at the avalon on saturday night and the sad thing is this band would have been selling out stadiums.  i got to finally meet louis xiv after the show and the shared the champange of beer, miller high-life, with me.  rock stars drink awful beers but are awfully generous with it.  get the new album, “slick dogs and ponies” on sale now at graywhale.  text “fat fin” to 79640 and get a text coupon to get the album for $9_60.
horrorpops_thelma and louise - what tired subject matter.  good thing the horrorpops kicks ass.  catch them at the avalon on th 21st.  i will be giving tickets away all week so listen.
coheed and cambria_feathers - i typically hate this band and i know that hurts many of you funnybook readers but i have to be me.  the fuzzy hair and the high vocals just don’t mesh well in my mind but i have to say this is a good song.  i expect we will all hear this one much much more in the future...mark my words.
be your own pet_the kelly affair - more catchy than crack.  this is my feel good song of the year thus far and it is from this from a four-piece austrailan jivers.  this is less punk than their ealier stuff but it is to be expected as i think the lead singstress graduated high school.  what a cutie

hot chip_ready for the floor - i still love this album after i have been listening to my leaked copy for like 4 months now.  good new is it is in stores now and you can get down with it’s grooves in your own home or at the gym on the elliptical machine, ya know, that one work out where you look like you are sqattin’ in the woods.  gross.  this video is soooo-cool, woot...umm whatever.

air traffic_charlotte - since the vines don’t seem to be doing anything so great these days i recommend this band.  not sure i recommend the entire album but play around on itunes.  i think this is the best song from the album.
morrissey_all you need is me - no morrissey is not above stealing your money so he put two new songs on his upmteenth greatest hits album so you would buy it.  i found that it’s a great album to listen to in the shower as you will either come off sounding just like the moz or cher and that’s cool too.
seether_rise above - some kid wanted to hear this real bad.  i honestly don’t care about this crap that any 12 year-old girl could write in her diary.  i would even guess the members of this band streal from their daughter’s diaries and then sing what they find.  see:nickelback, creed, finger eleven, evanesence (though she has her own diary i am sure)...you get it.  i hate em but sometimes i bow to you cause you have kept me on x96 for ten year this june.
moby_alice - i know everyone hates the bald freak but i like this song.  maybe it is because i like hip hop a bit but i love it nonetheless.  his new album will be out on april first called “last night.”
