Happy upcoming Labor Day!

To celebrate, I am taking my dear mother up to Deer Valley to stay up there this weekend at a lodge across from the resort, where Bob Dylan is playing! Being the rock and roll mom that she is, she had every single one of his records in the sixties. She also saw Sonny and Cher for FREE at The Terrace on State Street in ‘63 which held about 100 people, (she said they wore t-shirts and jeans that night, and before Cher started dying her hair!) and she saw The Beatles in NY 1962 for pennies when she was in high school. Lucky lady! I had Highway 61 Revisited on vinyl passed down by her when I was a kid, then she asked for it back when I was in college. Later to find out it was worth about $1000. Dang. Now she loves King Missile, The Nails, U2, Material Issue, The Offspring, Silversun Pickups, and Johnny Cash singing “Hurt” by NIN. She was the one who introduced me to Ed Hardy and Sinful clothing. She’s 63 years old and a lot more hip than I am! People still think she’s my sister. Crazy. Rock N’ Roll, Mom!!!
