Thanks for making last night’s first ever X96 Nightmare Before Xmas into a huge success!  We had a blast and all of the bands were great.  Below are my the pictures I took on my camera phone.

First off, it’s Artie’s Haunted Xmas Village, complete with scary fog!

And then Artie Claus, who spent the evening handing out ... or rather.. throwing candy canes.

This is I Hate Kate.  They rocked.

And finally, for those of you who wanted to see the excitement of backstage at a rock concert, there’s this picture.  I took it while waiting to go onstage to announce Shiny Toy Guns.  Truly exciting to be backstage!

I even had to try to do a punk rock Billy Idol sneer, but it's not as good as his.

A little gel, a little hairspray, and there you have it.  A fauxhawk.  Is it cool, or is it a wussy attempt at the real thing done by people who don’t dare shave a real mowhawk.  Cause I’ll do the real thing if you think I should.

I haven't posted a blog in, like, two days!

Man, I’m such a slacker.  I usually post a blog on every weekday but not this week.  It’s because I suck.  There is no other way to describe it.  Well, I’ve been tied up in a few year-end meetings with the big bosses here at X96.  As a result my loyal blog readers--all three of them--have been without their daily dose of Todd’s Blog.  I need to at least post the songs I played on todd’s iPod.

We celebrated my dad’s birthday yesterday.  He always makes it a point to NOT smile when we take his birthday picture.  You should be glad you didn’t have to hear the awful singing of “Happy Birthday.” None of my family members are gifted vocalists.  Anyway, happy birthday to LeRoy Nuke ‘Em!

New Music Weekend

We decided to do a New Music Weekend this weekend.  It will start Friday at 3, and you’ll get to hear lots of new stuff from lots of cool new artists.  One such new song is the ever-so-catchy and sassy “Music Is My Hot Hot Sex” by CSS.  I LOVE that song.

I'm playing Beck right now.

I typed this during Nuke ‘Em’s 90s at Noon while playing “Where It’s At” by Beck.  I’ve got two turntables and a microphone, don’t you know.  Anyway, it’s just another Tuesday.  The funny thing is that I remember when I worked in a radio studio that actually had two turntables and a microphone.  And a couple CD players and some tape players.  Now everything is computerized.  We have three CD players in the studio, but we have most of our music ripped into a computer.

I want to switch back to vinyl!

Pink hair for the holidays!

Thanks to Marie Anderson and Ambience Salon in South Ogden for making my hair look a little zany for the holidays.  Just in time for family get togethers and Christmas parties, my hair is now going to turn heads and make people wonder how old I really am.  Pretty cool, huh?
