I Voted!
Share:Thursday, October 30th, 2008 @ 10:07AM
I voted early ... finally.
It was crowded, there was a line that stretched all the way through the new Centerville library, and I had to wait in line for about 30 minutes to get it done. But I did it. I had to stand next to a giant Winnie the Pooh in the kids section for a several minutes. I almost wrote him in for President. This is one of those situations where the country is in a bit of a crucial turning point and voicing your opinion on the matter is very important. I’ve never seen a turnout like this before. Election officials are encouraging us to vote early if you can to avoid long lines on Tuesday. For information go to http://www.leaveyourprint.com and it will tell you how to vote early. It won’t tell you who to vote for, and neither will I. That’s up to you. But I think you know who I like.

Voting early was insane!

It was extremely crowded!
If you’ve been hearing about a huge turnout of voters this year, it appears to be true. Certain counties are allowing registered voters to vote early, and for more information you can go to http://www.leaveyourprint.com to find out how and where you can vote early. Mrs. Nukey and I attempted that last night at the Centerville library, but the parking lot was completely full and there was a huge line. We decided to try again tomorrow night since Tuesday was the first time that location was open until 8pm. After aborting our attempt at voting, we ended up at the Chilis down the street. I had the new country fried chicken crispers, and those were delicious! I love Chilis a little too much.
While we were sitting at our table a kid approached us and asked, “You’re Todd Nuke ‘Em, aren’t you?” I told him that I indeed am, and he asked for an autograph and a photo. I thought it was awesome that he dared to approach me and ask. And if you ever see me around town, please say hi to me. If it weren’t for people like the kid from last night who listen to X96 and appreciate the idiots who are on the radio, I’d have to get a real job. Anyway, the kid’s name is Nate and I lifted the picture from his myspace page this morning.

I’m voting early today!

(Hopefully.)
A record number of voters is predicted on Election Day one week from today, so I’m going to attempt to take advantage of the option of voting early. You can get all the information about this on http://www.leaveyourprint.com, which is a website set up by the State of Utah and is completely informative and unbiased. I wonder how crowded it will be tonight when I try to vote. I voted in the presidential primaries and that was extremely crowded. If you’re a registered voter, look into this option. I’ll update you on tomorrow’s blog about the voting early experience.
I wonder what happens if the presidential candidate I select ends up coming out as a horrible criminal after I vote for him. I shouldn’t worry. There have never been any politicians who turn out to be criminals.

Like my new hat? It’s been quite a while since I went shopping for clothing. Yesterday my wife took me to Fashion Place and then turned me loose in the Van’s Store. There, I fell in love with this hat. I look forward to a long relationship with this hat where it will be soaked in my head-sweat for years to come. I love the Van’s Store.
