Republicans: “Let’s do nothing.”
Share:Thursday, January 29th, 2009 @ 2:10PM
Thanks for nothing, Republican Party.
I love how not one single Republican in the House voted for President Obama’s economic stimulus package. My interpretation of this is that the Republicans think everything right now is just fine. No need to try anything. Let’s just do nothing and watch people continue to lose their jobs, their homes, and their very livelihood. I’m not suggesting that we follow any President blindly, but this is blind apathy to the current situation. Hell, even a few Democrats voted against it; at least they had the reasonable self respect to oppose something based in principle rather than the “we will oppose anything not done by a Republican” mentality. Look. I’m not a Democrat and I’m certainly not a Republican. I am a concerned citizen of the United States of America. I like to think they my President feels the same way.
Some of Mr. Obama’s ideas will work, some will not—and even he admits that. But come on you old GOP bastards! Give up the old partisan ways! We have to do something!
I voted, so therefore I’m entitled to bitch and moan just a little bit.
(By the way, I voted for our Republican Governor because he is the right man for the job. That’s also why I voted for Barack Obama.)

Allison Egan 1966-2009
This breaks my heart, but one of my old friends from the 2003-2004 era of KJQ has passed away. You might remember her as Allison Steele on the air. She worked in the middle of the day back when I worked there for about a year. I will always remember her passion to do a great broadcast and her desire to help homeless animals. My heart goes out to her family and friends, and especially her son. We’ll miss you, Allie.

This is the dumb little fake wallet that came with my Dirty Harry Blu Ray box set. It has a fake Inspector Calahan ID and a fake police badge. Instead of looking tough, I simply appear to be constipated.
I want to be tough like Clint Eastwood. He’s even a mean old guy in his latest film Gran Torino. After seeing that, I decided to get the whole damn set of Dirty Harry movies.
Please join me tomorrow in Tooele as I broadcast live with Powerade at Walmart. I’ve never done a live remote in Tooele and I’m excited to meet as many Tooele listeners as possible.

"Feeling lucky?"
I saw Gran Torino over the weekend and I liked it. I’m a Clint Eastwood fan and I have a guilty pleasure for the couple of Dirty Harry movies that I’ve seen in my lifetime. But after Gran Torino, I researched the Dirty Harry films and found out there were quite a few. I purchased the Blu Ray box set from Amazon and it arrived yesterday. I can’t wait to start watching these classic cop movies from the 70s and 80s! The box set came with a stupid fake wallet with a fake Dirty Harry ID and fake police badge. I’ll post a picture tomorrow.
