Pick the best excuse as to why my blog post is late today.
I usually publish my blog each day before 2, but I almost forgot to do it today. Here are some possible excuses as to why I’m just barely posting it.
*I spilled Mountain Dew in my laptop and it just barely started working again.
*I was dicking around on Facebook.
*I was dicking around on Myspace.
*I was elated that the stock market is up today and I kept clicking on CNN.com to check the DOW.
*I was busy planning the Big Ass Show (This is partially true.)
*I was wiring money to Vegas to bail out Kerry, Bill, and Gina. (Richie is a good boy and was not arrested.)
*I suck.
*I was eating Easter candy.
*I was coloring the roots in my mohawk.
Well, there you go. Please forgive me.

Best Picture 2009
I figured it had a pretty good chance of winning a few Oscars last night, so Mrs. Nuke ‘Em and I ran out on Saturday night to the Cinemark in Layton to see Slumdog Millionaire. Given what I’d heard about it, I thought it was worth seeing. It’s one of those films that you need to see because I can’t give the plot any justice in a couple of sentences. It was eye-opening, different, and not entirely predictable. In fact, parts of it are a bit gritty. Since it’s an independent film, you never know how far it will go. It does not pull any punches, and you really can’t guess the plot outcome like most movies.
It won Best Motion Picture in the Academy Awards last night, and I can agree with that. Go see it!
