The X96 Maverik Big Ass Show is today!
Tickets are $25 at Smith’s Tix, Graywhale, and at the USANA Box Office (opens at noon.) Please carpool and arrive early. Gates open at 3 and music starts at 3:05.
Listen to X96 all day for all the details, and for interviews with the bands. This is a tentative schedule of interviews.

The show is FRIDAY at 3 at USANA
Make sure you get there early to see Billy Boy on Poison. The above video is from their recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon. This band is driving to Salt Lake from LA just for our show. They go onstage at 4:25 p.m.

My thoughts on the latest movie.
Terminator Salvation is playing in theaters, but they should retitle it so that it reflects the content. Terminator-Transformers-Independence Day-War of the Worlds-Road Warrior-Aliens-Batman would suit it better. Batman because the Danny Elfman music mixed with Chrsitian Bale using his growling Batman voice makes it feel more like a Batman sequel. Transformers because of giant transforming robotic terminator that shed little motorcycle terminators that look just like the motorcycle that was in Batman. War of the Worlds because of the way space ships pluck humans and then haul them away to be killed. There are several scenes that were lifted from earlier Terminator movies, like my personal favorite, Terminator: Judgement Day. A car chase involving a semi tow truck was almost plagarized shot-for-shot from Judgment Day.
Anyway, it didn’t really excite me very much. It was like a conglomerate of every big summer movie ever made.

My guilty pleasure is Dave’s Farm on Youtube. These guys make me laugh. It’s like Nitro Circus with no budget. Of course, you should not attempt anything you see on this video.
