It is on sale now.

New Year’s Eve is one of those nights where you’re given the impression that if you’re not out at a huge party with hundreds of people, then you’re a loser. Since Dex and I are both fairly open with the fact that we are losers, we decided to make a night of it. -Blogs of Wrath, by Noker & Shutt, page 57

That’s how I always felt as a kid, and I still feel like it today.

In 2005, I met a brilliant young man named Zack Shutt. We had a story to tell, and quite a lot of my input is based on true events in my life.  I think this is a book that will change how you feel about teenagers today, wether you’re a kid right now or the parent of one.  Or you might be in my shoes where you wonder how you ever survived junior high without cutting your wrists and ending it all.

The book is onsale now. Go to www.blogsofwrath.com for more info and direct links to the cheapest price.  Go to your local bookstore and demand a copy. We’re not as huge as Stephanie Meyer, so you have to kindly pester bookstores to carry it.

Here is what people are saying about the book.
“With spot-on-dialogue and a compelling narrative voice, Noker and Shutt’s, Blogs of Wrath is a terrific read. The narrator, Carlos DeReese, is intelligent and savvy, wise beyond his years, and just plain funny. Noker and Shutt’s book is a page-turner, memorable, poignant, and above all, entertaining.”
—Nicole Stansbury, author of Places to Look for a Mother

“Raw, vivid and very real.”
—Jeff Vice, Deseret News

“Blogs of Wrath manages to filter classic teen angst and frustration through
modern tech-speak shorthand and first-person self-consciousness without
compromising the good ol’ 1.0 standards of detail and writing. It’s not
exactly the feel-good read of the season, but no realistic tale of young
adulthood (especially in Utah) should be. If you read only one book
co-authored by a radio DJ and an IT geek this year, you might as well make
it this one.”—Bill Frost, Salt Lake City Weekly

Holy crap, Zack. We did it!

It was about five years ago when I first met a remarkable kid named Zack Shutt. This young man was wise beyond his years, and he and I started somewhat of an unusual friendship. We were both fans of literature and of writing, and soon enough, the idea for this novel was hatched. We started writing it in April of 2005.  After countless hours of work with editors and publishers, the book was finally finished. We didn’t actually expect it to go on sale until late January at the earliest, but it went live about a week ago.

We were awaiting the first copy from the press to arrive, and it turned out that a couple copies could be overnighted to us. The estimated date of arrival was, of course, the busiest shipping day of the year.  Thanks to FedEx for getting us our very first hard cover copies of Blogs of Wrath.

You should know that this book is very personal to me, and much of my contributions to this project—although fictionalized—are actually true.

Thanks to Jeff Vice, Nicole Stansbury, and Bill Frost for their kind words regarding the book. And thanks to Zack Shutt for helping me write the finest piece of literature I have ever been associated with.

Breaking stuff is cool.

When I found out that the best selling CD of the past decade was No Strings Attached by N Sync, I puked.  Then I decided that I should do my part to rid the world of at least one copy of the CD that sold more than 10 million copies.  I mean seriously, folks, you don’t want that to be the musical symbol of the last decade, do you? I didn’t think so.

I'm busted!

After a day of ripping up Sarah Palin’s book and giving away the sreds on the air, my mother scolds me.  Listen to the phone call.  Sorry, mom. I love you.
