Vacation next week!

I’m going to take off next week for some rest and relaxation.  My wife and I are going to go to Capitol Reef for a few days.  I’ve never been there, so I’m looking for suggestions on hikes and other activities in that area.  If you’ve been there before, please let me know.  Watch for a few pictures on my blog next week.

We went there last year and one of our favorite hikes was the chimney rock hike. It’s really nice. Here are some pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/kathymtb/3485165496/
    Have a great time!

If it’s not too late, Cassidy Arch and Hickman Bridge are my favorites. If you’re up to it, do Cassidy Arch, across the Frying Pan then down one side of Cohab Canyon.
The Grand Wash is easy, beautiful and is a good breather the second day, after a first day of long hiking.
