FOX Picks Up Scripted Series ‘Houdini & Doyle’
FOX has acquired ten episodes of the scripted series Houdini & Doyle, per Deadline. The Sony international co-production will air on ITV in the United Kingdom and Shaw Media in Canada. Co-created by David Shore, the creator of FOX’s long-running hit House, the series imagines magician Harry Houdini and writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who wrote the original Sherlock Holmes stories, teaming up to solve crimes. The two were friends in real life. Several other network shows have followed the straight-to-series international co-production model including last summer’s NBC series Crossbones.

Collider reports that extras across many ethnicities are set to start shooting in Atlanta on April 1. In addition, the casting notices included a new synopsis for Civil War, which is changing up the comic storyline to transition neatly from Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
