Chris Evans Explains Why Captain America Is Fighting Iron Man In Civil War

On Saturday, Chris Evans attended Salt Lake City Comic Con and while he was there he shared some new plot details about his upcoming film Captain America: Civil War. He confirmed rumors that the conflict between Captain America and Iron Man comes down to accords meant to govern superheroes. These accords come in the aftermath of the Battle of Sokovia as governments around the world are uneasy about The Avengers going about their business with no oversight. Evans even admitted he was leaning toward Tony Stark’s viewpoint when he read the Civil War script for the first time.

“Gotham” star Morena Baccarin — who is pregnant with co-star Ben McKenzie’s baby — plans to marry him … TMZ has learned. Baccarin is in the middle of a nasty divorce with director Austin Chick. According to legal docs obtained by TMZ, Baccarin says she got pregnant with Ben’s baby in June, which she claims was after she separated with Chick. The estranged husband begs to differ and says she got pregnant while they were still together.

Animated ‘Transformers’ Spinoff Coming from ‘Ant-Man’ Scribes

The dust has settled on the “Transformers writers room” set up at Paramount Pictures, and the studio now has a game plan for how they’d like to tackle the franchise going forward. First up is Transformers 5, for which Michael Bay has inexplicably decided to return and direct with Mark Wahlberg starring. But while Bay and Co. will jump into pre-production on that film next year for a June production start-date, Deadline reports that Paramount has tasked screenwriters Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari with penning an animated Transformers feature that will follow T5.

John Goodman has joined the cast of Legendary Pictures’ Kong: Skull Island, which is being directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein (Godzilla). He is taking the role of Randa, a government official who leads an expedition. The cast also includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson (Room), Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly. The project is expected to go before the cameras this fall.

Wells book The Island of Dr. Moreau, the drama centers on the fiercely intelligent and fearless Dr. Katherine Moreau as she expands the boundaries of  medicine through bold and revolutionary scientific experimentation and treatments in her privately funded island hospital.
