Supper Club with Tom Bergeron (the guy on the left is Tom)
I just stumbled upon this TV show last night on Planet Green a network dedicated to the environment. Here’s how their web site describes the program:
Introducing Supper Club
Each week, Supper Club lets viewers be a fly on the wall at a Hollywood dinner party, as Dancing with the Stars’ Tom Bergeron hosts a fabulous evening alongside a celebrity chef who cooks up a green meal, while four special celebrity guests break bread and discuss the latest news and events in the green movement.
I watched about 10 minutes of it and it was almost unbearable. Here’s a rough idea of the scintillating conversation during the bit I watched. The guests with Tom Bergeron were Ricky Schroder, you know, from Silver Spoons; Larry Elder, a talk radio host; Dr. Heidi Cullen from the Weather Channel; and Bruno Tonioli a judge on Dancing with the Stars.
Bruno: Well, humans are carnivores.
Ricky: Actually we’re omnivores. Humans are omnivores.
Tom : Omnivores? What’s that?
I’m sure I’ll watch Supper Club with Tom Bergeron again. The unintended comedy was delicious.
Thanks for listening,
Bill

Didn’t IFC’s “Dinner For Five” do this better?
And before you say no, know that Ralphie from A Christmas Story is the producer, so show some respect.

Hi Bill, sounds ripe for a drinking game and well some Kobe beef hors d`oeuvres, and a bit of tuna tartar and duck confit. Cheers Futz

Jeebus, I couldn’t even make it through the teaser on planetgreen.com. Awful. Just awful.

hmm...beer, fried foods and conversation with Tom Bergeron?
I’d bet the gaseous emissions from the meal and conversation negate any good intentions the show had hoped to gain with the “green” approach.
I’d rather watch Tom distill whiskey out of his ass than another episode of Dancing with the stars.
So at least he is moving in the right direction.
