Demi Lovato‘s speech on opening night of the Democratic National Convention took a very personal turn, as the singer spoke candidly about her battle with mental illness and the role she says politicians should take in ensuring care for others struggling with it. “Like millions of Americans, I am living with mental illness. But I’m lucky. I had the resources and support to get treatment at a top facility,” the 23-year-old said. “Unfortunately, too many Americans from all walks of life don’t get help, either because they fear the stigma or because they can’t afford treatment.”

Cops smashed their way into Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan’s posh London flat after a furious bust up with her Russian lover. Police were called in as Lohan, 30, suffered a meltdown on the balcony of her Knightsbridge apartment with boyfriend Egor Tarabasov, 22 – claiming she had been attacked. Waking up neighbors, the A-lister shouted, “He just strangled me. He almost killed me.” In footage taken by a neighbor she could be heard begging for help outside of her $4.2 million home at 5 a.m. on Saturday morning. Shouting her name and address across the street, she screamed, “Please please please. He just strangled me. He almost killed me. Everybody will know. Get out of my house.”
Dr. Dre Searched By Cops in Alleged Racial Road Rage Case
Dr. Dre got cuffed and patted down by Sheriff’s deputies outside his Malibu home after an alleged road rage dispute over a guy blocking his driveway … TMZ has learned. Sources close to Dre tell us the motorist had pulled off PCH and stopped in front of Dre’s crib. We’re told Dre asked him to move, and he did … but cussed at the mogul as he did it. Dre pulled into his driveway, but the other driver kept yelling — so Dre pulled out his phone to record video. Our Dre sources claim the guy said, “Here we go again, another black guy with a gun.” L.A. County Sheriffs tell us the motorist called 911 to report someone pulled a gun on him.

Taylor Swift Fan Who Charged Stage Sent to Mental Hospital
The fan who tried to bum-rush Taylor Swift during a concert is going away for a long time, but not to prison … TMZ has learned. A judge ruled Christian Ewing incompetent to stand trial, and instead ordered him to spend up to 3 years at Patton State Hospital. The San Diego County D.A. says Ewing will remain there until he’s ruled competent. The judge also ordered medication be administered involuntarily, if necessary. As we reported, Ewing got into a nasty brawl with security after he rushed the stage at Petco Park last year — breaking a security guard’s rib.
Florida Georgia Line Says We Love Cops But We Have Our Own Security
The guys from Florida Georgia Line want to make it clear they have total respect for men and women in blue — but, respectfully, there’s a good reason they didn’t need their help backstage. Sources close to FGL’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard tell us security for all their concerts is handled through promoters at the venues. It’s just part of their contracts for each gig. We’re told local cops regularly ask if they can help out backstage, and are usually told it’s not necessary. FGL’s team believes this frees up law enforcement for other security needs around the venue.

Ozzy Osbourne insisted Monday he’s not saying goodbye to romance — his marriage with wife Sharon is “back on track.” The 67-year-old rocker told ABC’s “Good Morning America” that they’re not splitting up over allegations of his infidelity, as Sharon had declared in May. “No, it’s just a bump in the road is all,” Ozzy said in an interview aired Monday, hyping his new reality show with son Jack Osbourne, “Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour” on the History Channel. Jack defended his parents, and said all marriages have their ups and downs.

After ending her engagement with Nick Young last month, it seems as if Iggy Azalea has moved on with Khloé Kardashian‘s ex-boyfriend, French Montana. Over the weekend, Azalea, 26, took the stage at Jewel nightclub inside the Aria Resort in Las Vegas. During her 20-minute set, the Australian native belted out several of her chart-topping hits for a star-studded audience, including Montana, 31. Once she finished her performance, Azalea made her way back to the VIP section where she chatted with the rapper before they made their way to the dance floor. And as E! News later confirmed, the unexpected couple left the Sin City hot spot together early Sunday morning. Azalea also appeared in Montana’s Snapchat, as the two took in birthday girl Jennifer Lopez‘s “All I Have” residency show at Caesar’s Palace on Saturday.

On Saturday, Jenner attended Rocky’s show at the Panorama music festival. A source told us he took Jenner to visit Harlem for the first time on Sunday, and they ended up at Blue Ribbon Brasserie in Soho around 1 a.m. “They were coupled up at the restaurant . . . hugging, flirting and acting like a couple. His friend said that was his girl,” a source told us.

In the wake of her split from fiancé Taylor Kinney, pop star Lady Gaga spent some quality time with friends. The “Applause” singer attended the baptism of jazz player and Gaga band member Brian Newman and his burlesque dancer wife Angie Pontani’s cute baby Sistilia at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Brooklyn this weekend, where she was named godmother. Gaga was also bestowed this honor by Elton John and David Furnish for their two sons. Gaga wrote on Instagram that the couple “have been my friends since we were kids on the lower east side. It was a beautiful baptism and Italian style feast.”
