Joan Rivers‘ daughter Melissa Rivers has settled a medical-malpractice lawsuit against the doctorsaccused of botching a routine throat procedure that led to her comedienne mother’s untimely death. “In accepting this settlement, I am able to put the legal aspects of my mother’s death behind me and ensure that those culpable for her death have accepted responsibility for their actions quickly and without equivocation,” Melissa said in a statement.

Azealia Banks gets booted from Twitter
After years of public feuds and an entire vocabulary of slurs, Twitter finally suspended rapper Azealia Banks‘ account on Thursday. Banks, 24, had spats this week with former One Direction star Zayn Malik and 14-year-old Disney star Skai Jackson, and also took shots at Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. Banks threw out a slur at Malik, who is part Pakistani, apparently angry with him after he dropped his music video for “Like I Would” on Tuesday, which Banks compared to imagery for her previous track “Chasing Time.”
KID ROCK ASSISTANT EXTREMELY DRUNK DURING FATAL CRASH
Kid Rock’s assistant was wasted while driving the ATV that led to his death. The autopsy report is now out, and Michael Sacha had a blood alcohol level of around .21 … approaching 3 times the legal limit. Michael crashed the ATV, and according to the medical examiner, his head wound was gruesome. His brain was severed from his spinal cord.

Jessica Alba faced tough questions over a new lawsuit filed by the Organic Consumers Associationagainst her Honest Co., which is claiming Honest’s organic infant formula includes no fewer than “11 synthetic ingredients,” some “federally regulated as hazardous compounds.” At a TechCrunch Disrupt panel this week, Alba deferred to her company’s chief marketing officer, Chris Thorne, to respond.

After four seasons on “ABC,” fan-favorite series “Nashville” has been canceled,according to Variety. Deadline reports that the country music series, starring Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton, would’ve had new showrunners had it made it to a fifth season, and that they were reportedly working with writers on stories for the next season.
Glenn Danzig Reunites With the Misfits
Glenn Danzig hasn’t been a member of the Misfits since their initial breakup in 1983. After a legal battle, bassist Jerry Only gained the rights to record and tour under the Misfits name starting in the 1990s, and Danzig went on to find success with his eponymous band Danzig. Misfits and Danzig have been active, separately, for years now. It hasn’t been a particularly amicable divide, either—the two sides have sued each other multiple times. Now, in a reunion that’s arguably more unexpected than Axl Rose getting back together with Slash, Danzig has rejoined the Misfits.
