Our website is geekshowpodcast.com.  We are still a work in progress.  Give us 5 shows, thats all we ask!  This episode...Indiana Jones and the Web Of Hate! With sooo many haters hating on the man in the hat....how will the panel react to the movie?  You might be surprised...or not.  Also, the answer to the question WHO (actor) is the definitive Joker from the Batverse?  You might be surprised...or not.  Geek TV, the poor economony (seriously!) and comics are adressed, beverages are consumed and tounges are bitten.  Recorded live from my basement.  Excelsior!

About that Geek Show podcast I promised.......

Our first episode has been postponed....twas poned...and bemoaned.  I blame myself.  I got a “sweet deal” on a floor model mixing board at a music store.  Kids, if you learn anything today it should be ‘you get what you pay for’.  Becasue it was a floor model, I was told I cant return it.  It distorted 75% of the debut podcast so badly, we decided to just kill it.  Another problem with the show...I cant start drinking untill we start recording.  (I started a little too early..) Thats the bad news.  The good news is, we got it figured out, will record our second debut episdoe on the 25th and have The first official Geek show podcast up and ‘out there’ for your free consumption on the 27th, around lunchtime.
Besides the technical problem, I gotta tell you, and this is no BS...its gonna be a great frakkin’ show.  Seriously, all of us sat down, and it just went amazingly smooth.  We had to be told to stop after an hour and a half, and to all who HAVE heard it (here in the building. geeks and non geeks) they said it was verry entertaining.  I have a good feeling about this show.  Here is picture in our post show glow.  From left to right: Shannon Barnson (Elementary school teacher (!), color commentary man and Bartender at Burt’s Tiki Lounge) Scott Pierce (TV critic, Des News) Jeff Vice (Film critic, Des News) Derek Hunter (Comic book and childrens book artist/author.) Geek Show Podcast: a disclaimer?

I have been hosting The Geek Show here on X96 for at least 10 years now.  On an as needed bassis, usually 6 times a year.  To my knowledge it was the first show of its kind, there are many now.  I just wanted to let you know who was first...as far as I know.  Now, we move to bi-weekly (Thee Shatner willing) podcasts.  These will be exclusive to the web.  I have been asked, and yes we will do an occasional on air live one from time to time.  These podcasts will not replace that.  We record our first one tonite.  I hope that we will have it available for download by Monday or Tuesday.  Heres my disclaimer I mentioned earlier. I dont know what the hell I’m doing.  There are so many technical things that could go wrong...that have already gone wrong!  Its kinda making me nervous.  As those of you who are Longtime FOPs know...I’m a bit of a perfectionist. (understatement?) So all of the variables that I have no control over are making me lose sleep and giving me lower intestinal distress. (were all friends here, right?) I will mention this on the podcast as well but, for you readers I ask you one favor.  Give us five episodes.  I’m not saying dont join us untill September!  Join us right away..but give us 5 episode to get it right.  Its going to be a learning process so, 5 shows..thats all I ask.  After that, if it still sucks...I’ll kill it myself.  If you have a topic(sci fi movies,tv,comics,toys,games etc.) you want kicked around on the show send us a note to .  Live Long And Prosper, Bitches!

The summer of the coming of the Geek.

This, as far as we know because you know how that internet can be wrong, is a picture of Aaron Eckhart as Two Face from the new Batmun movie The Dark Knight.  EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (thats the squeel I make when I see this kinda cool stuff.  I call it a GeekGasm.  When I’m full of Geekdrenalyn)

This summer ...it’s good to be a Geek. Between the hit that is Ironmun, Indy 4, Batmun, The Incredubuh Huk...and many more.  Were GeekGasm-ing all over the basement floor.  Also, new TV shows, and comics and Games.....EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Tons of stuff.
As most of you know, I and my Geeky pals have done an On Air version of The Geek Show on X96 for over 10 years now.  And now, we go podcast. (Dont worry, we’ll still do an on Air version occasionally) Coming soon, by the end of this month (heres hoping), new on line exclusive Geek Show podcasts will be available about every other week.  Our Panel will include myself, Jeff Vice Film Critic for the Deseret News, Scott Pierce TV critic for the Deseret News, Derek Hunter Comic Book Professional (writer/artist/creator: Pirate Club) and Thee best Bartender/grade school teaher ever, Shannon from Burt’s Tiki Lounge.  Occasionally Punk will sit in with Bad Movie and Toy info. (good toys, not bad. I wrote that poorly)
These shows will be recorded live in my basement, where I will feed the panel and give them copious amounts of liquor.  We’ll bring you info on yer favorite Geek passions, some new and some old.  But more than news we’ll talk about the Geek experiance.  There are more of us out there than you realise.  We will encourage the one that hide their geek light under a barrel to come out of the Geek Closet and pronounce… I’m here, I’m a Geek, go f@&k yourself.  So, as soon as It happens....you will be informed!
