The first Saturday of every May is Free Comic Book day across the nation.  Go to any comic book store and you’ll get at least one, often times more, free comicbooks.  I suggest Dr Voltz on 33rd South 2043 East, that where I have my hold.  They are also sponsors of geekshow podcast.com.  These special comics are written and drawn specifically for this annual event.  Like a drug, the first ones always free.
    I have been reading comics since I was a kid.  I was sick, Mom took my prescription over to Frank’s Pharmacy in Payson and picked up an issue of Marvel’s AVENGERS, SPIDER-MAN and GHOST RIDER.  That was it.  I was hooked and have been ever since.  I still remember being that little kid getting such a rush reading and looking at the Vision’s battle against the Silver Surfer.  I’m not a parent, but if I were I would want my kids eagerly wanting to read.

This is the worst idea we have ever had. WTF were we thinking?! 13 hour live radio shows?!  I mean…WHY? At least I get to hang out with friends, but I dont get to just ‘hang out’.  I gotta Radio It Up!  Oh, I found this picture for you.

GEEK SHOW MOVIE NITE FREE Double Feature!  Conan The Barbarian and Terminator (both the first ones not the sequels).  Brewvies in SLC, 5pm, this Sunday the 29th.
Just show up.  The last Sunday of every month is Geekshowpodcast.com Movie Nite.  Grab a frosty beverage and join us for an evening of geeky movies you’ve seen dozens of times…and thats the fun.  If you’ve ever seen Mystery Science Theater 3000 you know the drill.  Start writing your ‘riffs’ now.  Shout them out at the proper time, make the whole theater laugh and you’ll be a hero for that moment.  Bomb…and be forsaken….for that moment.  Yes, these screenings are the only time your encouraged to talk during a movie.  I will be offering a prayer to CROM before the feature.  YOUR CLOTHES. GIVE THEM TO ME. NOW.
