Punk grew up in the Salt Lake & Davis counties of Utah. When he wasn’t sick in bed, at the doctor’s or in the hospital he spent most of his younger years skateboarding, snowboarding, getting beat-up by the “jocks”, being downtrodden by the opposite sex & running from the police. It was skateboarding out in front of a local radio station where Punk received the nickname Punk. The DJ’s didn’t know his name but due to his manner of dress & hairstyle they just started saying, “Hey you there, the punk!” & so, the nickname was born. It was also skateboarding that first brought Punk & Our Son Kyle together. They have known each other since the 2nd grade and they have been getting into trouble or getting others to create trouble for them ever since. Punk & Our Son Kyle were two of the prominent members of the infamous Davis County snow & skateboard team, Team Lame.

It has been medically determined that Punk is basically allergic to everything. He is however, not yet allergic to MSG, brewer’s yeast, rice, meat, potatoes & sugar. Believe it or not, Punk is actually hypoglycemic. It is these factors that have led to Punk’s penchant for junk food. It is currently believed that it is this junk food which has somehow managed to preserve him & keep him alive for all of these years. In fact more than one doctor has stated to Punk, “If you had been born a 100 years ago, you would be dead by now.”

Even with all of this, Punk managed to make it through the higher education system. He has graduated magna cum laude several times receiving degrees in History, Architecture, Mathematics & Design Graphics. He even landed a job with one of the oldest & largest commercial architecture firms in Salt Lake City. All while wearing his head rag, motorcycle boots and leather jacket. Currently Punk resides in Centerville, Utah where he watches over his ailing & elderly parents & a 101 year old grandmother. When he’s not sick, working, watching movies & TV, eating junk food or just playing with his large collection of science fiction & fantasy toys, he can still be found at the doctor’s, getting beaten up by jocks, cowering from women & running from the police.

After 17 plus years of growing up with Kerry, Bill & Gina, they have truly become a family. Willing to put up with, understand & give an outcast punk/newaver & geek a place to be comfortable, have a purpose with something to look forward to (when I’ve had no others) & just fit in when I have never really quite been able fit in with, among or around anyone else. They have let me stick around through all of my social oddness, long enough to really get passed it and get to know the real me that can be coaxed out once I get settled and comfortable. Whereas, most others have never been willing to put up with me for the length of time that getting me out of my shell can take.”
