Proposing in public
Share:Monday, March 31st, 2008 @ 11:34AM
Public or Private
I want to propose in public. NOT like on the Jumbo-tron or like in a parade or anything like that, but I want to do something really romantic for a lot of people to see. I feel like it says “I love this person, and I want EVERYONE to know it!”
Booster (My GF) wants a private proposal, just the two of us, scenic or romantically set, memorable etc.
Is this the first of MANY compromises?
On the air today I thought that maybe the best way to make both happy is propose to her quietly and romantically first and then in a public setting of choice. After further thought I have decided that I will ask her to marry me in Public (if I decide to ask her) and she can ask me in private if she wants to ask me first.
The race is on..

Trashity Tomorrow, Comedy Last Night

BUSY
I am ordinarily a pretty busy person but it seems like I cannot get a reprieve recently. Last night I performed at Sugar Space in Sugarhouse. It was improv comedy with some friends of mine from Quik Wits. Played a few games but wasnt up there for more than about 45 mins. It was a great little theatre spot available for rent in Sugarhouse.
Tonight I am escorting Bill at the Porn Debate. I am mainly just there so that Ron Jeremy doesnt try anything with Bill. Cant be too careful.
Tomorrow morning is our Adopt-A-Highway cleanup. Rain or shine. I am praying for clear weather, so if it rains you will know that I haven’t been as good as I am supposed to. Then I play the Scarecrow all day at the Desert Star. First time really stepping in. Should be fun, I am actually not too nervous about the whole thing…Actually I just want to get the first show over with so I can start relaxing.
...I wonder when I will sleep.

Its Different Without Bill

Do you notice it?
I wonder if it is just me, or do you notice the difference when one of the Radio From Hell show is not in studio. I really like the different matchups that occur. Its different both on the air and behind the scenes. I notice when it is Bill and Gina that there is a lot of giggling and less Gina “being lazy”. I notice that when it is Kerry and Bill that there is a lot more political talk and the show has a more serious tone…and of course today when it is Kerry and Gina the show is less news heavy and more whats going on in the moment.
I know that the three of them like to have all of them at the same time, but I really like the “occasional” opportunity for the show to go on without one of them. Just my two cents…

5 Worst Movies
Share:Friday, March 21st, 2008 @ 12:01PM
Good Suggestion
In an email to Radio From Hell, someone asked what the 5 worst movies we have ever seen. It took a little bit of thinking but here is the list.
1. The Son of the Mask.
I really liked the original Mask. Jim Carey is a favorite. I should have taken the hint when he wanted nothing to do with this movie that it would be no good. But I went. It was TERRIBLE. I enjoy watching bad movies, but during this movie I actually wondered if I could get my money back.
2. Because I Said So.
Mandy Moore and Diane Keaton. AHHH… This movie actually cause a huge fight between the Booster (My gf) and I. She wanted to see something else but this was the only non R movie that I hadnt seen yet
3. Day of Defense
This is that old story about “Are the mormons Christians?” Only as it good as it could have marginally been done it instead had boom microphones coming in the top of the camera shot bad color, bad lighting. Notice I am not even going to begin to mention the acting.
4. Cloverfield
I know. Bring on Todd Nuke’em cause I know he liked this. But I didnt care for a single bit of this movie. The monster, LAME. The character story, LAME. The ending, SO LAME! Give me a camer. I will run 10 miles (90mins) We will call it “10 Miles”
5. The Book of Mormon Movie
I didnt hate it so much for the terrible acting because several of the people in this film were my friends. I didnt hate it because it white people playing the parts of Lamanites. I hated it for the gossip that was floated around that this was fulfilling prophecy and that prophets had seen a day when the Book of Mormon would be acted out etc.

In My Defense!

Let Me Explain
The movies on my top ten list are movies that most impacted me. They are not necessarily the best movies. Also I should point out that Mallrats made the list and yes I have seen it in all its Rated R glory. I liked it. Friends and I used to quote it.
I also feel the need to defend number 4, 5, and 6
4. Serendipity
Hopeless romantic, a plan for each of us to be with one specific person, and John Cusack.
This perhaps is a little gay, but, come on! A guy meets a girl gets the phone number in the book, constantly searches for the phone number, is about to get married to someone else then finds her….Written in the stars…Destined for love. It is great. GREAT
5. The Notebook
A kiss in the rain, and Rachel McAdams!
I thought the end was eh…I didnt care much for the story of the two older people, but Rachel McAdams who looks hot in everything she wears in this movie, plus the whole dad wont let me date this guy, guy rebuilds the house just the way she likes it, and again right before they get married to other peopel it works out for them.
6. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Shannon Doherty! Sarah Jessica Parker, tune in tokyo, and a dancing game show!
Perhaps the most gay of them all but it is great. People sneaking out cause they love to dance, upsetting the rich guys daughter, and you know from the second it starts there is going to be a DANCE OFF!
