I remember it like it was just yesterday.

X96 and City weekly will be bringing you Back to the Future on the last Wed in September.  Its free (but they like you to buy some food while you are there) If you didnt come to Grease this last Wednesday you have to come this next time.  It will be AWESOME. These movie nights are the most fun that I have. I’m not sure if Kerry Bill and Gina will be attending but make plans to be there.
We will probably have an 80’s costume contest and some other Back to the Future oriented activities.

A special thanks to my Former Intern Trevor who sent me this picture.

OOOoooooOOOOoooooooooooOOOOOh.

Yesterday I found out from my mailman (Monte, a BFOP) that someone killed themself in my house.  In the sunroom.  My favortie room of the house.  She apparently did it with space heaters in an enclosed area CARBON DIOXIDE. No one told me! Maybe I wouldn’t have moved in if I knew that dead people were there.  How do I know that the dead ghost of the woman isn’t wandering around?  Now I feel like there is a spirit of the woman all around the house.  I keep looking around corners and into the darkness. Its weird. WEIRD! I am going to find out about the woman. Why she did what she did? More to follow….

So COOL!

Growing up I used to be obsessed with the Tex Murphy series.  It was produced by a local software company (Access Software) who was sold to Microsoft which all but stopped the making of more Tex Murphy series games.  It was an adventure game where you got to be a detective, it was complete with the spying on a cheating husband, attack from a clown, and sweet talking your way into a womans apartment.  My family would play these games for weeks until we beat it, and the best part was depending on how you chose to act the story would change…so you never knew if you really beat the game or if your story just ended.  It was Awesome.  Well, I wish at this point that I could say that another in the Tex Murphy series was coming out soon, but, this game “Three Cards to Midnight” is going to be AWESOME. Check out the trailer that they released over the weekend.

Why college is hard..

Well...

The funniest thing about this whole return to college thing, is that I remember how easy school is, but the reason that they give you a degree is because you make your way through all the red tape that comes about with going to college.  I have to get shots, i have to get a parking pass, I have to be approved for the classes that I am in, I have to…blah blah blah.  But I now have my schedule. 2 classes for this first semester.  Media Texts and Principles of Visual Communication.  Should be very informative and the best part is they are back to back.  If you have taken these classes..let me know..I would be interested to hear feedback. Wahoo…!  More stories to follow…I am sure.

Ahhhhh.

Its a busy time for all of us here at X96.  5000th episode celebration, then to San Diego, Snowbird later this week, Bill watching grease at Brewvies next week (your invited)  Then….Then I promise we will return to doing our show from here in the studio with some sort of regularity.  I’ve enjoyed all the travelling though.  Its a pretty cool job that allows me to be able to travel and work.  It’s funny how you never end up quite where you think that you will.  5 years ago I would have never guessed it.  Even three years ago.  A quick run-down of things going on.
1. New XMarket Shirt going up this next monday
2. A Geek Show podcast Shirt for Xmarket
3. Training new interns you will meet on the air this week
4. Booster leaves in 11 days
5. I start at the University of Utah on Monday….! I am a Utah Man Sir
