I call this look Blue Steel

Its becoming a joke between me and my “not girlfriend” how much X96 or Radio From Hell merchandise I have. In addition to the many things that I have purchased at Xmarket I have several items of clothing that have been made by friends of the program. This hat is is my latest and it was made by Alison Barlow (Gina’s Trainers Mom) and she owns the Wool Cabin (Cough 2020 East 3300 South) It was a nice gift and is one of a kind.  Plus I think it makes me look…cultured?

$1800 of Fun

God Bless Barack Obama for his efforts with health insurance. I need to look more into this Health Care reform and push Dental Care Reform.  My Christmas this year was slightly jaded due to a little ($1800) dental surgery.  My visions of vacationing sugarplums danced quickly out of my head only to be replaced with Lortab filled fascinations.  I am happy to announce that my mouth is healthy and happy and ready for a new year dentist free. (fingers crossed)

Normally by this time in the Holidays I am all set with who will be my interns for the next semester.  I blame it on the economy but I do not yet have my interns for the next semester. I will attempt to answer any questions here as to those who might be interested. If I miss something or you would like to be an intern email me a resume at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Internship:
Not Paid
M-F 5:30-11 (different shifts in the morning available like 5:30-8:30)
Be receiving credit. (talk to me about this one)

Duties include:
Internet Research (News stories and Boner Candidates)
Web Page maintenance (Can train you)
Data Entry
Organizing and facilitating promotions (Mixers, morning broadcasts)

Other jobs as they become available.

Being an intern does guarantee employment with Simmons Media Group, but it is a great experience and several of our interns have gone on to do great things in the Music/Radio industry.

One step closer to a Mormon Podcast

I love it! Thanks Dylan.

At the time that Kerry started up the Geek Show podcast, I thought that I too might try my hand at the whole podcasting thing.  The subject mormonism.  I figured I could offer a cultural look at mormonism rather than a heavy handed doctrinal look at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
At this time last year I began meeting with my friend Lauren Johnson (who has since moved to Idaho to be a News Reporter)
The folks at Lennon Design came up with this for the podcast.  Slowly but surely this idea will come to fruition.
