Can't we all just get along

There is an interesting phenomenon that exists among entertainers.  Everyone likes who they know and are immediately suspicious of anyone who might try and be a part of their group.  I dont think this intentional, or perhaps, being naive I hope that it isnt intentional.  I think it is a matter of trust.  I felt this when I first started working with Radio From Hell, it seemed like I was on the outside of the chain link fence looking through at all the cool kids playing but I wasnt allowed to climb the fence and play.  Even now, I will occasionally feel that way.

However.......

That is not the reason for this post.  Last night I went to my comedy class in Provo.  Several of these people have been doing Improv Comedy together for years. These people didnt pay attention to the things I was saying, started talking while I was on the stage, ignoring everything that I did and if not ignored I was mocked for what I did. Granted, I dont expect to have an immediate relationship, but I do expect to be treated with respect.  I am not sure if it is insecurity on their part to let someone in or if they just genuinely dont like me.  Whatever it be....I dont like it.
