Valentines Day Comic

Forgive the "Swear" in the cartoon.

Let me say a few things abou Valentines Day.  First of all, I used to be the bitterest of people.  I hated people that were happy in their relationship, public displays of affection, holding hands, nicknames the whole lot.  I never EVER called Valentines Day Single Awareness Day.  Every year I hear people use the term begging for approval because it is the first time that they have heard it and they want to be the first to share it with me cause they have never heard me use the term.  I dont think that it is funny, just annoying.

Secondly, I think the pressure that is put on either sex for Valentines Day is ridiculous. It is not as much pressure as say Christmas or a birthday, however it is still unfair.  The panic and pressure into getting just the right gift ruins the holiday.  Booster (my Lady friend) and I went to Thaifoon (in Gateway) last night for our Valentines Gift.  We ate and then walked around and talked.  No pressure and good conversation helped us remember how much and why we love each other.  We didn’t make out in public, buy expensive things, just had the two of us.  Easy. Simple.
