First, we want to thank everyone who submitted a film and to all of our finalists. Though not being able to gather together to watch these at the Tower Theatre was a letdown, we’re glad we were able to showcase the finalists and for you to vote on them.
And the winners are…
3rd Place: “Pillow Guy” (649 votes)
Directed by Marcos Cerros: “A man is deformed by his friends in a pillow fight and seeks revenge.”
2nd Place: “6 Days” (854 votes)
Directed by Dorman Gill: “A short documentary/trailer about the greatest short film ever written, filmed, and mastered in 6 days.”
1st Place: “The Release” (968 votes)
Directed by Paola Avanzo: “‘When we keep our feelings deep inside, when the pain is drowning us in darkness, when words can’t express our despair anymore… That’s when we need a release.’ This is an original short completely planned, directed, and hand-animated by Paola Avanzo, an animation student from SLCC. Original music by Pedro Antonio Pi√±a.”
Thanks again, we will reach out to the winners and let them know how they can claim their prizes. Also, thanks to all of you that voted and supported these filmmakers! We can’t wait until next year.
In the meantime, here is a playlist of years and years of the Radio From Hell Film Festival selections for you to enjoy.
