Have you ever gotten the chills while going number 2? One doctor recently explained it all to Men’s Health.
Dr. Sameer Islam told the magazine, “What happens when you have a bowel movement is that you are stimulating the vegus nerve.”
Dr. Islam continues, saying that the stimulation of that nerve can have a lot of reactions, including dropped blood pressure, sweats, and-yes-the chills.
“It is normal to feel chills, to feel your heart rate change, and to feel other things that are maybe going on from having a bowel movement,” said Dr. Islam.
