Every Wednesday at 9am Corey O’Brien (x96, 7p to midnight) joins Radio From Hell to keep you from sitting home.
Wednesday 6/1

A free show from the one that comes to Regulate. Yes, the weather will be amazing. Yes, the show is really free. And yes! There will be a beer garden.
What happens when you are Warren G’s DJs and don’t actually play the records he raps over (NSFW – language and violence)…

Thursday 6/2
Real Salt Lake at New York FC
Kick off is at 5p as Real Salt Lake wind down their long road trip. Watch the game on KMYU and get your tickets for their next home game on Saturday, June 18th when they take on Portland at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Ogden Twilight | Washed Out & Robert DeLong
The kick-off of Ogden’s Twilight concert series at The Ogden City Amphitheatre. I’d go for Robert DeLong, who should really be headlining this show, but stay for Washed Out if Chillwave is a music genre you can get with. Plus you’ve already bought the tickets.
Friday 6/3
The Cure at Maverik Center
The lipsticked on returns to SLC to play you their trademark 3-hour or longer show. The last time I saw them, they played 3 encores and I am pretty sure one contained what felt like a 29-minute version of “Disintegration.” The good news is that they’ve been breaking out all kind of surprise tracks they don’t play live often. And, I mean, it’s The Cure!
Utah Pride Festival
One of the biggest in the nation, The Utah Pride Festival, is one of the most fun weekends you will ever be apart of in downtown Salt Lake City. Belinda Carlisle (of the Go-Go’s and my teenage lust crush) is performing, there is a 5k and the ever popular parade is on Sunday morning. Not to mention, every bar, shop and person downtown turns the fabulous up.
Insane Clown Posse at The Complex
I’ll admit that I owned a copy of “The Great Milenko.” It made me laugh and it was funnier after Disney recalled the album. Juggalo up and head to The Complex if you in need of a good soak in some Faygo.
Cracker at O.P. Rockwell in Park City
If your Friday night carries you to Park City, this is the show to see. “Low” and “Euro-Trash Girl” are staples of any solid 90’s playlist. 21+
Saturday 6/4
Candlebox & Royal Bliss
Yes, that Candlebox. Seattle. Grunge. They are performing at They Royal in Murray with Royal Bliss opening. Great, intimate venue to catch them. 21+
National Learn to Row Day
With the warm weather here it’s about time you learned how to navigate all the land-locked water we have. It’s the 15th annual believe it or not. I remember the 3rd. Do you? It’s free aside from a $3 parking fee at the Great Salt Lake State Marina. Put on by Great Salt Lake Rowing who wants to give you “a taste of rowing.”
Sunday 6/5
Park Silly Sunday Market
Hey, sillies! Head up for some fresh air on Park City’s Main Street for booths, food and entertainment on its opening weekend, touted as Utah’s first zero waste, free street festival.
Monday
“Peaky Blinders”
Nothing doing and rightly so. It’s Monday for Christopher-Robbin’s sake! Stay in with the fam and watch season 3 of Netflix/BBC hit family drama.
Tuesday 5/30
“Newsies”
The struggles of paperboys back when there used to be newspapers and tuberculosis. Seems time, sceince and the internet had defeated both, nearly. Winner of the 2012 Tony Awards for Best Score and Best Choreography, so you know someone liked it. Catch the play based on the Disney movie that made Christian Bale a star.
