• 3 Doors Down at Collective Soul at Utah State Fairpark
The Rock & Roll Express Tour featuring bands you’ve heard on X96 for a very long time arrives at the Utah State Fair. Get a funnel cake and rock out with your blue ribbon out! Your ticket to the show also gets you into the fair.
• King Princess and Flora Cash at the Gallivan Center
The final show of the 2018 Salt Lake Community College Twilight Concert Series features some new artists we’ve been playing.
• The Head and the Heart at the Union Event Center
Seattle folk-rockers come to make you warm, fuzzy, and oh so groovy.
• Florence + the Machine and St. Vincent at Maverik Center
Florence and her machine are touring on their new album, “High as Hope” but I would really suggest you get there early for St. Vincent. Alternative hip-hop artist, Lizzo is also on the bill.
• 9th & 9th Street Festival
One of Salt Lake’s few “personality” neighborhood celebrates the fact it’s one of the few and proud, “This is our neighborhood celebrating our neighborhood! It’s free, fun, kid-friendly, pet-friendly, music friendly, food friendly, art friendly, and best of all neighbor friendly! Learn about new things, enjoy a tasty treat and some great music.”
• Salt Lake City Out of the Darkness Walk
It’s something we have to talk about. The 12th annual Out of the Darkness Walk will begin at 9 am at Liberty Park. You can form a team and participate. There is no entry fee as this is a fundraising event. All ages are welcome.
• Urban Arts Festival at the Gallivan Center
“The Urban Arts Festival is the largest free community art event in Utah. It is organized by Utah Arts Alliance. The festival showcases hundreds of artists, performers, and musicians. It has received several awards including being named as the ‘Best New Festival in Utah’ a the, ‘Best Indie Art Event in Utah’ and the ‘Best Fest for the Rest’!” Admission is FREE! Goes through Sunday!
• Festa Italiana at The Gateway
This fest is going on its 4th year with 15 food vendors serving up authentic Italian food, music, beer, wine, and art will all be showcased. Proceeds go to charities including Catholic Community Servies. Admission if FREE! Goes through Sunday.
• Candlebox at the Dejoria Center
It’s a 90’s wave drifting over Utah this week with a slight change of, “yeahhhhhhh!”
•AFI and Rise Against at The Complex
Sunday’s are for punk! AFI and Rise Against are bringing Anti-Flag along with them. Solid way to spend your Sunday night.
•Billy Idol at Red Butte
Rebel yell is you didn’t get tickets because this show is sold out. Tickets are going on the classifieds for up to $450!
•Nothing But Thieves at The Complex
Nothing But Thieves return to Utah and are bringing along Granson and Demob Happy. All ages show.
