Rare Monkey Stolen From Florida Zoo

Here’s your Florida story for the day – Police have safely recovered a rare monkey who was stolen from the Palm Beach Zoo earlier this week. Authorities say Kali, a 12-year-old Goeldi’s monkey, went missing from the zoo on Monday after it appeared that someone forced their way into her habitat. A person can be seen on surveillance video walking around the zoo’s perimeter. On Wednesday morning, West Palm Beach police tweeted that Kali had been found in good condition and returned to the zoo, promising more details soon. Goeldi’s monkeys hail from South America and zoo officials say Kali required a special diet and anti-inflammatory medicine.

Leave these animals alone! In the zoo and in the wild.
