Get ready for some scantily-clad Stormtroopers. A Star Wars-themed burlesque show called ‘The Empire Strips Back’ is touring the U.S. this spring. The show, originally produced in Australia, includes women dressed as Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and other Star Wars favorites, wearing costumes that are much
more revealing than in the movies.
But director Russall Beattie insists that despite all the extra flesh on display, they “try to stay true to the original intent of the story”.
‘The Empire Strips Back’ will tour the U.S. beginning in March, wrapping up with a show in Manhattan on – wait for it – May the 4th.
Which Star Wars character would look best in a bikini? What other movies should get their own burlesque show?
