Ex-Bandmate Says Bennington was Bothered by Negative Reactions before Suicide

A friend and former band mate of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington revealed that Bennington was having difficulty dealing with negative reactions to Linkin Park’s album One More Light prior to his suicide.

Saying Bennington never felt good enough after being sexually abused as a child, Sean Dowdell told Kaaos TV when Linkin Park released 2017’s One More Light album, Bennington “got a lot of negativity from fans – and it really bothered him. We talked about that a lot. He would just be so bummed out and he would blast people on Twitter. He would get upset.”

Dowdell added that while telling Bennington not to listen to crap from the haters, the negativity “really weighed on him. I think that contributed to a part of his head spot” prior to his death.
