Fans who spent New Year’s Eve rocking out with The Strokes at their show in Brooklyn got to be the first to hear the news. Frontman Julian Casablancas confirmed that a new album is coming in 2020 – the first since 2013’s Comedown Machine. To whet appetites, the band debuted a brand new track titled, “Ode to the Mets”. They also played “The Adults Are Talking,” which was released last May. The Strokes will be making several appearances this year, including Atlanta’s Shaky Knees festival and Tecate Pa’l Norte in Mexico, plus three Lollapalooza South American dates.
