Danny Elfman Just Released His First Solo Song in 36 Years

Former Oingo Boingo frontman Danny Elfman has just released his first solo song and it was only 36 years in the making.

The song, “Happy,” was originally written to be performed at this year’s Coachella. Since we all know how that panned out, Elfman has released a video for the song.

“Happy” is described as an “absurd anti-pop” song, and Elfman explains, “The cynical nature of the lyrics echo how I feel about living in a semi-dystopian world turned upside down.”
