Deftones Guitarist Follows Up on Flat Earth/ Anti-Vaxx Statements

Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter has taken a lot of heat regarding his thoughts on vaccinations and whether or not the Earth is flat. Now, he’s clarifying with an apology…kind of.

Carpenter appeared on Cypress Hill frontman B. Real’s podcast, Dr. Greenthumb on Friday and tried to explain his point of view.

Carpenter defended his controversial statement by saying, “I want to say, hey you know, I never had the intent to upset anybody in any way with my opinions.”

Carpenter is receiving flack for saying that vaccines do not work and “If you think you live on a spinning, flying space ball, you’re in a cult.”

Do you think Carpenter should be getting so much grief for his opinions? Do you think he is right?
