‘Blade Runner 2049’s’ Lengthy Run Time Revealed

“Blade Runner 2049” will have a relatively lengthy running time of two hours and 32 minutes, plus another 11 minutes for credits. It’s 46 minutes longer than the iconic 1982 original, which checked in at an hour and 57 minutes. Alcon Entertainment, Warner Bros., and Sony Pictures have set a worldwide release on Oct. 6 with Warners distributing domestically and Sony distributing internationally. Alcon and Sony are worldwide partners on the film.

Terry Pratchett’s unfinished novels destroyed by steamroller

The unfinished books of Sir Terry Pratchett have been destroyed by a steamroller, following the late fantasy novelist’s wishes. Pratchett’s hard drive was crushed by a vintage John Fowler & Co steamroller named Lord Jericho at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, ahead of the opening of a new exhibition about the author’s life and work. Pratchett, famous for his colourful and satirical Discworld series, died in March 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

No joke: The clown community is pretty mad at Stephen King. Now that Pennywise is back to terrify a new generation of youngins, professional clowns are claiming that the iconic horror villain has done damage to clowns’ reputations and cost them work. “It all started with the original It,” WCA president Pam Moody, who performs as Sparky the Firefighter Clown to teach grade-schoolers about fire safety, told The Hollywood Reporter.
