Invasion of the Body Snatchers Remake Set At Warner Bros.
Body snatchers are evergreen. A remake of the science fiction staple Invasion of the Body Snatchers is in development at Warner Bros., according to The Hollywood Reporter. After the idea of a silent alien invasion that threatens to turn the world’s population into a horde of replicant drones was published by Jack Finney as a magazine series called The Body Snatchers, direct adaptations and countless other films and TV shows have made Finney’s concept a specific sci-fi genre. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), which stuck closely to Finney’s source material, and a 1978 remake starring Donald Sutherland, are considered horror classics, so it’s no wonder Warner Bros. is looking to return to the well.

Man Stabbed Seven Times Over Magic: The Gathering Argument
A 31-year-old man has been charged with stabbing another guy seven times—and hitting him with a mallet—after an argument broke out during a game of Magic: The Gathering. According to the St. Cloud Police Department in Minnesota, Elija Creech and his 20-year-old gaming buddy were playing the Magic: The Gatheringcard game overnight Friday when the two of them got into a heated argument (we don’t know what about, but I’m doing a head canon that Creech’s opponent did a double-strike using Blood Mist and a Bloodmad Vampire, and Creech did not care for that).
