Here’s a rock’n’roll team-up you weren’t expecting – Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and ex-Smiths frontman Morrissey. Armstrong is one of the artists recruited for Morrissey’s upcoming covers album California Son, where they’ll team up for a cover of the Fifth Dimension tune “Wedding Bell Blues”. Other artists who will appear on the album include Sameer Gahia of Young The Giant, Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, and alt-violinist Petra Haden. California Son is due out May 24th.
