Greta Van Fleet Discuss New Album, Address Led Zeppelin Comparisons

Greta Van Fleet’s long-awaited debut album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, finally got its release after the band exploded onto the music scene last year. The young Michigan rockers have a very classic sound reminiscent of Led Zeppelin, a comparison that the band doesn’t seem to mind. Joking with Revolver magazine, frontman Josh Kiszka admits, “We continue to be honored by the affiliation. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock & roll bands of all time. It’s better than being referenced to something like Wham!” Taking a page from Zeppelin, GVF used a two-pronged approach with the record, offering both “acoustic, intimate and beautiful” tracks along side ones that are “a lot more heavy, dark and aggressive.”
