For some reason, a statue of David Bowie keeps getting defaced. The latest incident, which is the second time in six months, took place last week. But cops might have their man.
The Aylesbury, England statue, which pays tribute to The Thin White Duke’s Ziggy Stardust persona, was unveiled in March and first vandalized with spray paint just 48 hours later. After reviewing security camera footage following the second incident, police have a 29-year-old man in custody over the crime. Some residents have complained over the statue, especially over the decision to have it play music, but most of the public has viewed it as a positive thing.
