Serj Tankian of System of a Down has always been vocal about his political beliefs. But what if one of his bandmates (and family members) didn’t have the same opinion?
The frontman has had disagreements with System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan in the past but seemingly has become more frustrated. In a recent interview with Forbes, Tankian says, “He’s my brother-in-law and my drummer. Is it frustrating being politically opposite to your own drummer and brother-in-law? F**k yeah.

Of course, it’s frustrating, but that’s having to do with American politics.” However they do agree somewhere politically, with Tankian saying, “When it comes to Armenian issues we’re on the same exact page.”
While he and Dolmayan disagree about things politically, Tankian has come to the defense of the drummer saying he still loves and respects his bandmate.
Do you care what entertainers have to say about politics? Would you be excited for new music from System of a Down?
