Former Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten, a.k.a. John Lydon, isn’t impressed with what punk rock has become. In a New York Times interview, the punk legend called bands like Green Day “embarrassing, really”, and says modern punk is a “backdrop to sell a pair of sneakers”. Unsurprisingly, Lydon is also not a fan of Donald Trump and said he’d never allow himself to be knighted by Queen Elizabeth.
