System Of A Down’s John Dolmayan Not Sure On Making New Album

Fans have been waiting since 2005 for System Of A Down to release a follow up to Mezmerize and Hypnotize, but the band just can’t seem to set aside their differences to make it work. Speaking recently to the “Let There Be Talk” podcast, John Dolmayan reveals that he’s kind of done with the idea of recording with the band again. “I find it very unlikely. I’m not even sure I wanna do it anymore. It’s just so much drama and bulls**t. In a lot of ways, I’m just over it,” the drummer admits. While many have blamed frontman Serj Tankian and guitarist Daron Malakian for the impasse, Dolmayan feels they’re all to blame in some ways, adding, “It takes four people to make this band, and it takes four people to unmake it.”
