Turns out joining the Foo Fighters was a pretty good move for Taylor Hawkins, who, before that, was playing the drums for Alanis Morissette and earning a weekly salary. Speaking to KLOS, Hawkins says he made just $500 a week with the “You Oughta Know” singer, which was a raise from the $350 he got sitting behind the kit for Sass Jordan. Hawkins recalls that the first time he heard Alanis’ music, he knew that she was going to be “huge.” In a previous interview with Beats 1, Hawkins credits his time with the Canadian singer for giving him his big break, saying, “I’d be delivering pizza if it wasn’t for her!”
