To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fall Out Boy’s 4th studio album let’s crank up the way back machine and take a look at how they almost went to jail for their fans. Around the time of Folie À Deux’s release in December 2008, the band had planned a massive outdoor concert in New York City’s Washington Square Park. The crowd was in place, but the band never fired up their instruments.
Turns out someone forgot to file a permit and the NYPD threatened them with arrest. FOB did manage to host a sing-a-long with the attendees sans amplification, which didn’t seem to violate any laws.
