43 years ago today, rock music changed forever with the release of one of the most influential punk albums of all time.

On October 28th, 1977, the Sex Pistols released their scorching debut Never Mind The Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols, featuring classics like “Anarchy In The UK” and “God Save The Queen.”

While the album debuted at No. 1 on the British charts, it never reached higher than No. 106 in the U.S. Nevertheless, it helped launch the punk revolution and was also highly influential in the heavy metal world.
