Red Hot Chili Peppers Cancel Show After Anthony Kiedis Is Hospitalized

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis was unexpectedly hospitalized Saturday, leading the band to cancel their headline performance at KROQ’s Weenie Roast. The 53-year-old singer was rushed from California’s Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in an ambulance after experiencing “extreme stomach pain,” a rep for the Los Angeles radio station told Billboard. The remaining band members later took to the stage to announce the news to the waiting audience.

After his dramatic departure from “Live With Kelly and Michael,” sources told Page Six that Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa had a private meeting to say farewell and left on a high note. But despite the détente between the hosts, multiple sources said that come Monday — when the program will officially become just “Live With Kelly” — Strahan’s memory will be exorcised from the ABC show’s studio as he moves to “Good Morning America.”

Attorney: Grandchild of Prince’s half brother could be heir

A Minnesota attorney says there could be another heir to Prince’s multimillion-dollar estate. In documents filed Friday, attorney Michael Padden says a man who’s been widely described as Prince’s half brother, Duane Nelson, had a son, who in turn had a child. Nelson and his son have died, but Padden says the child could be an heir. Padden says he tried to reach the child’s mother, but was unsuccessful. He asked the court to appoint a guardian ad litem if the child’s mother doesn’t obtain an attorney soon. Prince died on April 21 at age 57.

Prince‘s death has gotten the attention of the agency that regulates Minnesota doctors and they just made it clear … they will no longer tolerate opiate abuse in the state. TMZ was present at a meeting Saturday of The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. The members made it clear … opiate prescription practices are out of control and things must change immediately. Board members acknowledged there is a significant problem with opiate prescription practices in the state and new regulations must be put in place to tightly monitor doctors who write such scrips.

Producer Jean Doumanian was spotted at West Village eatery Gentilly with pals recently, where spies said she gave an emotional toast to late pop icon Prince. Doumanian is credited with bringing Prince to national attention when he was a 22-year-old relative unknown and she was the producer of the much-maligned sixth season of “Saturday Night Live” in 1980, when Lorne Michaels left with the original cast.

Report: The Wire‘s Wendell Pierce Arrested After Alleged Attack on Sanders Supporter

According to TMZ, actor Wendell Pierce, best known for his roles on HBO’s The Wire and Treme, was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly battering a couple during a political dispute. Citing sources at Atlanta’s Loews Hotel, the gossip site reports that Pierce,who has praised Hillary Clinton, became upset “when the woman declared her support for Bernie.” From WSB-TV: After a heated conversation, Pierce allegedly pushed the boyfriend and went after the woman, grabbing her hair and smacking her in the head. The couple called the cops, who arrested Pierce on a charge of battery. He posted a $1,000 bond and was released, TMZ said.

A Hillary Clinton-loving actor got into a violent political argument with a female Bernie Sanders supporter — and allegedly wound up hitting the woman in the head outside an Atlanta hotel, according to a report. Wendell Pierce, who starred in the crime drama “The Wire,” was arrested on battery charges Saturday for assaulting the woman at the Loews Hotel, TMZ reported. The 52-year-old TV performer, a big Clinton fan, flew into his rage at 3:30 a.m., while discussing the 2016 presidential race with the victim and her boyfriend, the site said.

Multi-millionaire singer Beyoncé reportedly contracts with overseas clothing companies that use sweatshop labor to manufacture her sportswear line. Britain’s The Sun on Sunday said its investigation found that the star’s Ivy Park label, featured in Topshop stores, is made by Sri Lankan seamstresses paid only $6.17 a day. A 22-year-old sewing machine operator told the newspaper that she lives in a 100-room boarding house near the factory in the town of Katunayake. “All we do is work, sleep, work, sleep,’’ she said.

Actress Vanessa Hudgens has paid $1,000 in restitution for carving a heart into a red rock wallduring a trip to Sedona, Arizona. Hudgens posted a photo of the carving bearing the names “Vanessa” and “Austin” on her Instagram page around Valentine’s Day, along with other photos of the couple amid towering red rocks that draw throngs of tourists to northern Arizona. The payment resolves a citation issued to Hudgens on a misdemeanor count of damaging a natural feature on U.S. Forest Service land.
