Death Race Getting A Remake From Roger Corman

Roger Corman is ready to bring back his much loved Death Race 2000 franchise for another go-round. Titled Death Race 2050, Corman will be a producer on the film, while G.J. Echternkamp will be directing. For those who aren’t familiar with Death Race 2000, it starred David Carradine as Frankenstein, a half human half machine hybrid, who took part in the much-celebrated death races that gave you extra points based on brutally taking down your opponents. The sequel doesn’t stray too far from the original roots.

There’s darkness brewing in new Daredevil season 2 teasers

We’re only a month away from declining all social invites so we can curl up and bingeDaredevil season 2, and Netflix has dropped three new teasers to make everyone feel better about that decision. This new batch of clips focus on creating an ominous mood rather than dishing out story details or first-looks at new characters.  Chasing up the explosive new trailer that recently landed, they each hone in on the show’s main trio – Matt, Foggy and Karen. First up is Daredevil himself, chained to a chimney on a rooftop struggling to break free. A sign of The Punisher’s dastardly ways, perhaps?

‘The Lobster’ Moves to A24 Amid Alchemy Struggles

A24 has swooped in and picked up U.S. rights to Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Lobster, just ahead of a March 11 release that had been scheduled by Alchemy, which originally acquired the film in May at the Cannes Film Festival. But, amid mounting speculation that Alchemy is facing financial pressures, a new deal was struck, which was made easier by the fact that distributors were assembled in Berlin for the European Film Market, where the Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz starrer made a late-market stir.
