Ben Affleck confirmed to direct and star in solo Batman movie
Ben Affleck will direct and star in his own Batman movie, Warner Bros chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara has officially confirmed. Affleck is currently starring as the caped crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He has generally been praised for his debut in the role, though Zack Snyder’s superhero epic has received short shrift from critics and looks likely to fall short of the magic $1bn mark at the box office despite a blistering worldwide opening weekend of $422.5m last month.
The original Star Wars trilogy is returning to theaters this summer
The original trilogy is heading back to theaters this summer. Entertainment Weekly reports that Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi will play back to back in select Alamo Drafthouse theaters in 20 cities this August. The movies will (unfortunately) be shown in the 1997 re-release format, though, so that means Han won’t shoot first here. Still! Tickets will go on sale on ReturnOfTheTrilogy.com on May 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars Day.

Executive producer Craig DiGregorio chatted with Collider about the upcoming second season and what the narrative focus will be once the show returns in September on Starz. According to DiGregorio, the first season was all about catching up with Ash, following the 20+ year gap at the end of Army of Darkness.

We Know the Title of the Men In Black/ 21 Jump Street Crossover
No, for real. A crossover movie joining Men in Black and 21 Jump Street is really happening. Sony put it in its huge CinemaCon 2016 presentation to theater owners and, to make it seem even more real, even gave it a title:MIB 23. MIB 23! MIB 23! It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? It does sort of assume audiences know what “MIB” stands for, and that the “23″ will be an obvious follow up to 21 and 22 Jump Street. If Schmidt and Jenko get to be the next two Men in Black candidates, I’m not sure we could be any more excited.
