X-Men: Apocalypse marks the conclusion of the X-Men “First Class” trilogy, which has followed the adventures of young Professor X, Magneto, Beast and Mystique. Other than spinoffs like Gambit and the third Wolverine film, we don’t know what the future of the franchise holds following the 2016 blockbuster. One thing we now know for certain, however, is that it will be continuing without one of its most famous lead stars: Jennifer Lawrence.

Ben Affleck has written his own Batman movie, but is only currently contracted to play the caped crusader in two forthcoming Justice League films, according to the Oscar-winning film-maker’s agent. Affleck has won guarded praise for his turn as the dark knight of Gotham in superhero blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, even as the movie itself has suffered critical brickbats. Filmgoers appear to be ignoring the reviews, as Zack Snyder’s film has zoomed to $500m worldwide in less than a week on release.
‘Orphan Black’ Gets Its Own After Show, ‘After the Black’
For a lot of Clone Clubbers, the only thing more fun than watching Orphan Black is talking about Orphan Black. There’s plenty to say about this show from week to week: It’s never short on cryptic clues or shocking twists, and lead Tatiana Maslany seems to find a new way to outdo herself every few episodes. And now BBC America wants to lead that conversation. The network has just announced an after-show called After the Black, which will do for Orphan Black what AMC’s Talking Dead does for The Walking Dead.
