$65k Compiled for California Music Teacher Arrested for Punching Student

When a California music teacher told his student to leave the classroom due to a dress code violation the incident escalated to punches. 64-year-old Marston Riley was arrested on child abuse charges after another student caught the teacher repeatedly punching the student in a video. The video showed the student calling Riley a racial slur, harassing him and even throwing a basketball at him before punches were thrown. A GoFundMe page was started for Riley and has raised over $65,000.

“We all may have mixed feelings about what happened. But please do know that this is not the first time Mr. Riley is attacked; physically or verbally,” the crowd-funding page read. “He is a great person and a great teacher.” Riley is due in court on November 30.
