Grammy CEO Defends Marilyn Manson Nomination

Despite sexual assault allegations, Marilyn Manson secured two Grammy nominations last Tuesday.

Manson was nominated twice for his work on rapper Kanye West’s album ‘Donda.’

Grammy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. defended the committee’s choice to nominate Manson.

“We won’t restrict the people who can submit their material for consideration,” Mason Jr. told The Wrap. “We won’t look back at people’s history, we won’t look at their criminal record, we won’t look at anything other than the legality within our rules of, is this recording for this work-eligible based on date and other criteria. If it is, they can submit it for consideration.”

Do you think Marilyn Manson should have been nominated despite the allegations? Have you listened to Kanye West’s new album?
