NFL Moving Forward With 17-Game Season

The NFL is reportedly moving forward with plans for a 17-game regular season in 2021.

The change would include cutting the preseason down to three games. Teams would rotate between having 9 or 8 regular-season home games.

Meanwhile, the extra game would be an “interconference matchup based on divisional standings” – such as the AFC East winner facing the NFC East winner.

This would be the first time the NFL has expanded the regular season since 1978 when it went from 14 to 16 games.

What do you think of a 17-game season? Do you think this is just a step towards an 18-game season with two preseason games?
